B. inggris Sekolah Menengah Atas Georgian woman cuts off web access to the whole of Armenia

An elderly Georgian woman has accidently cut through
an underground cable and cut off the internet services to all
neighboring Armenia.

The woman, 75 was digging for metal near the Georgia
capital Tiblisi and her spade damaged the fibre - optic
cable. Unfortunately Georgia provides 90 percent of
Armenia’s internet. Web users in the nation of 3.2 million
people were left twiddling their thumbs for up to five
hours. Large parts of Georgia and some area of Azerbaijan
were also temporarily affected. The damage was detected by a system
monitoring the fibre optic link and security team
went immediately to the spot. The cable is
protected but apparently landslides of heavy rain
may have left it exposed on the surface. The
woman called “the spade-hacker’’ by local
media, was arrested on suspicion of damaging
property. She faces up to three years in prison.
